Mechanism of action
Amylin receptor agonist (CALCR/RAMP) that reduces food intake, slows gastric emptying, and promotes satiety. It complements the action of GLP-1 agonists by targeting distinct satiety pathways.
Reported research ranges
0.3–2.4 mg subcutaneously per week (gradual escalation).
Reported adverse effects
Nausea, vomiting, injection site reactions. Similar to GLP-1.
