- Mechanism of action
- Ghrelin receptor agonist that activates the GH/IGF-1 axis. It has a strong orexigenic action (appetite stimulant) mediated by neuropeptide Y. It also elevates cortisol and prolactin.
- Reported research ranges
- 100–300 mcg subcutaneously, 3 times a day on an empty stomach.
- Reported adverse effects
- Marked increase in appetite, swelling, elevation of cortisol, post-dose lethargy.
- Storage and handling
- Refrigerate at 2–8 °C after reconstitution. Powder is stable at room temperature for up to 24 months.
