Gonadorelin

- Mechanism of action
- It binds to GnRH receptors in gonadotropic cells of the anterior pituitary, stimulating the pulsatile synthesis and release of LH and FSH. Pulsatile administration maintains gonadal function, while continuous administration suppresses it.

- 50–100 mcg subcutaneously twice a week (pulsatile).
- Reported adverse effects
- Facial redness, headache, mild nausea. With frequent use: desensitization of the GnRH receptor.
