- Activates β-adrenergic receptors in adipocytes, promoting lipolysis and fatty acid oxidation. Inhibits lipogenesis through IGF-1 independent mechanisms, without effects on cell growth or insulin.

- 500 mcg subcutaneously 2–3 times a day, administered on an empty stomach.
