- Mechanism of action
- Activates AMPK (cellular energy sensor) and inhibits the DHFR-purine pathway, reprogramming glucose metabolism towards the pentose phosphate pathway. Translocates to the nucleus under stress to regulate gene expression and the antioxidant response.
