Mechanism of action
It penetrates the blood-brain barrier and regulates gene expression in neuronal cells. It increases the synthesis of melatonin and serotonin, regulating the circadian rhythm and enhancing central nervous system function.
Reported research ranges
10–20 mg subcutaneously daily for 10 days, repeat every 3–6 months.
Reported adverse effects
Well tolerated. Mild initial drowsiness.
